The owners wanted a year round home that felt like a beach house during the summer months. It had to comfortably fit their children, someday grandchildren, cousins and friends; be sophisticated for corporate entertaining and feel cozy in the winter when the couple would be the only ones home. Our courtyard design has a guest house and sleeping porch that can comfortably sleep six on oversized built-in window seats on one end and a large living room and master suite on the other. The two wings are connected by a dining room and kitchen on the first floor and bedrooms on the second. The home embraces a swimming pool set three steps down from the covered decks so when you look out the windows in the winter, the only view is Stonington Harbor.

Our scope of work was comprehensive and included site design, landscape and pool design, architecture, interior design and furniture design. We assisted the homeowners with the selection of flooring, tile, paint, furniture, fabrics and custom-made rugs.
