CTC&G Innovation in Design Awards Finalist

Connecticut residential Architect Michael McKinley's design of a Stonington, CT coastal home was a finalist in Connecticut Cottage & Garden's prestigious Innovation in Design Awards contest. Each year the magazine asks architects and designers to submit their most innovative projects in a range of categories: kitchen design, interior design, garden design and architecture. Michael McKinley and Associates, LLC was nominated for the architecture of this waterfront shingle style residence.

One of the design features that caught the judges attention was the homes' 16-foot wide sliding mahogany door which frames the views of Fishers Island Sound and a tidal inlet.

The recent ceremony at the Greenwich Country Club is one of CTC&G Magazine's signature events and is attended by well known architects, interior designers, industry representatives as well as members of the judges' panel.
